Kristina Sigler is a 21-year-old Florida native who escaped to the San Francisco Bay Area when she realized she was either allergic to heat or right-wing politics. She arrived at California College of the Arts in 2006 as a photography major, but quickly faced her destiny and changed her major to writing & literature. Now she doesn’t like most books. In fact, now she doesn’t even plan on writing novels. After The Bombs, her tentatively titled senior thesis piece, is a screenplay about an RAF pilot who is torn between honoring his relationship with another man and serving his country during WWII. It is an epic tale and Kristina considers herself masochistic for choosing to expand upon this story as her final project. She is writing this third-person biography on Oscar Sunday and feels the need to thank her parents for their ongoing support, her cat Lukas for keeping her lap warm during those late nights of procrastination, and the Academy just because that has a nice ring to it.
